I made these yummy nut free bites with just five ingredients for my 5yo to take to school as he started Kindy this year. He has a nut allergy and with most schools nut free, it’s a great little treat to pack for school even if your child has no nut allergies.
It is refined sugar free and sweetened only with Medjool dates. The cacao nibs add a nice cholatey crunch which isn’t bitter at all with the sweetness of the dates and the hint of salt just brings out all the flavours. The best part is it takes less than 10 mins to make a couple of weeks worth of lunch box treats (if you can refrain from eating them yourself!)
