I am excited to share my new lemongrass, ginger & turmeric kombucha tea recipe on my friend Monique’s blog Nourish Everyday. I met Monique when I first started out on instagram and have been following her beautifully styled, delicious recipes since.
Monique’s recipes focus on whole, nutritious real foods, not particular to any eating style. There is something to suit everyone whether you are paleo, vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. She is currently studying nutritional medicine (while also working as a lawyer, this girl is just awesome!).
Lemongrass, Ginger and Turmeric Kombucha Tea recipe
As you know, I love my kombucha tea and am always looking to try new flavour combinations (check out my strawberry mojito kombucha recipe). I am also always trying to see how I can include fresh turmeric daily. So why not include it in something I drink & enjoy daily?! I have been making my fresh lemongrass, ginger & turmeric tea everyday and prepped some extra to throw in my kombucha bottle. Ginger kombucha actually reminds me of ginger beer/ale, it has a beautiful aroma and zing. This version has a subtle hint of lemongrass and the beautiful colour and taste of turmeric, it is another amazing combination. Go to Nourish Everyday for the recipe.
Turmeric on its own is a complete superfood. No need to buy expensive berries or supplements here, it is usually found on every single list of ‘best foods for such and such’. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory, great source of fibre and contains vitamin b6, iron, manganese, potassium, magnesium & vitamin c. You can read more here.
